Once I learnt more and more about kids slippers, I fostered a desire of writing on kids slippers. Now that my desire has been fulfilled, I hope your desire for its information too has been fulfilled.

Rainy Day Fun For Kids!

Need something fun for the kids to do on a rainy
day?

Make your own play dough and finger paints for
hours of creative fun!

Play Dough

Mix 2 cups flour
2 cups salt
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
in a saucepan.

Gradually add: 2 cups water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
small amount of paste food coloring
of your choice

Cook and stir over low heat for 3 minutes or so,
until mixture sticks together.

Turn onto board and knead until smooth and of play
dough consistency.

This will keep for several months and can be used
over and over if you store it in an airtight
container in the fridge.

Remember finger painting when you were young?
It's so messy, but it can be a real treat for your
children on a rainy day.

Homemade Finger Paints

Soak 1 envelope of unflavoared gelatin in 1/4 cup
warm water. Set aside.

Stir together 1/2 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons sugar
in a saucepan and gradually stir in:
2 cups water
Cook and stir over low heat until blended.

Remove from heat and add softened gelatin.
Divide mixture into individual containers for each
color you want.

For each color, add a drop of liquid detergent first,
and then add food coloring a drop at a time.

This will keep for several weeks in the fridge.

Customer Review: great fun!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for our niece and nephew, 5 and 4 years old. They loved it. I loved it. My husband loved it. Their mom loved it. It was ready to go the second we got it out of the box.

The little play tools are fun - big hits with the younger set were the ability to grow and cut "hair" from a small plastic head, the many colors of dough included with the set, and all the little rolling pins and cutouts available. These things were fun for us, as well, but possibly the best toy from the adult point of view was the small piece of plastic, shaped like a kind of meat pounder, that is flat on the bottom and allows one to easily pick up small pieces of playdoh from flat surfaces. Its like a playdoh magnet. Very cool.

Crosley CR56 1950's Pay Phone - Red

Crosley CR56 1950's Pay Phone - Red
The very familiar3-slot style payphone was first introduced in the 1950's and remained virtually unchanged until 1965. This appropriately christened prepay-style pay station will take you back to the days of old fashioned phone booths and 10-cent phone calls. Believe it or not, its predecessor was a post pay-style phone that actually allowed the caller to place their call and then pay once finished. While you don't have to pay for your calls with this Crosley replica, you will enjoy the functional coin slots complete with Crosley jingle as your money is deposited into the coin bank in the base of the unit.

Customer Review: Great gift!

I bought this for my sister's "rumpus room" - - seemed she & her husband had everything else (pool table, foosball table, poker supplies, etc.). The phone fits in great with the feel of the room, my sister and brother-in-law love it, its well-made & attractive, and to top it all off, it encourages their guests to leave tips! :-)

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (Disney Gold Classic Collection)

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (Disney Gold Classic Collection)
In the great tradition of SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS and CINDERELLA, Disney's 11th animated masterpiece, THE ADVENTURES OF ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD, introduced two literary classics to the screen. Through award-winning Disney-animated wizardry, these unforgettable children's stories come together as one fabulous adventure. THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS follows the wild ride of J. Thaddeus Toad, squire of Toad Hall. Smitten with motorcars, the wealthy and reckless sportsman soon drives his close friends Mole, Rat, and Angus MacBadger into a worried frenzy! Then meet Ichabod Crane, the spindly schoolteacher who dreams of sweeping the lovely Katrina off her feet -- until Brom Bones, the town bully, gets involved. Their comic rivalry introduces Ichabod to THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, the fabled Headless Horseman, and a hair-raising, heart-thumping climax. Narrated by legendary stars Basil Rathbone and Bing Crosby, THE ADVENTURES OF ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD is brimming with high-spirited adventure, brilliant animation, and captivating music -- now available for the first time in keeping with Walt's original theatrical vision.

Here Come the ABCs [CD/DVD Combo]

Here Come the ABCs [CD/DVD Combo]
No stranger to the realm of children's records, They Might Be Giants have seen success with their CD No! and the book-and-CD combo Bed, Bed, Bed. Their latest CD, Here Come the ABCs, offers up 25 alphabetically themed songs. However, as is their charming way, the two Johns (Flansburgh and Linnell), use the letters as merely the connective tissue, allowing them to pursuit intriguing flights of fancy that consider everything from the relative power of letters and sounds to animal hijinks. Just as they've always done, there are wistful ballads and high octane rockers. TMBG have always been a family-friendly band, and this disc works just fine for adult fans, who can rightfully consider this simply their newest release. --David Greenberger

Customer Review: Great fun for everyone!

What a great, fun album! Our 23 month old has been listening to it for about 6 months now, and loves to speak along to it. Different songs are favorites at different times. My husband and I think it is catchy and fun for us, too. If your toddler is going to demand songs be repeated "one more time" as our does, these are songs you can listen to, too, "one more time" ad infinitum (almost). You even learn to sing the alphabet backward!

The Rumford Gardener Kids Watering Can with 3 Tools #RK1004
Customer Review: Nice, simple pleasure for kids.

I bought three of these for my nieces so they could "help" their parents in the garden. They love them, and they participate in watering all the plants (including the neighbor's). A good, experience-foundation thing for kids to follow your example outdoors in the yard. Very safe and encourages activity, too!

Sewing Mamas

I don’t have much to share because my kids are sick throwing up, diarrhea and fevers. It seems to be non-stop with something these days. Poor kids. We were supposed to make our trek up to Mt Hood for our annual Christmas tree hunt, but it looks like we may have to delay it. The kids will be bummed as they were looking forward to lots of snow balls, forts and hot coco. But I’m going to give them lots of TLC and hopefully we’ll all be back to *normal* by Monday. I did want to thank SewMamaSe
